Are YOU the Chess Champion of Peekskill High School?

On Tuesday October 8, 2013 the Chess Club of Peekskill High School started its second annual Chess Tournament in Mr. Andujar’s room, 219.  Both girls and boys from all grades are trying to win the grand prize of $25.00 and earn the title of Chess Champion. According to scientific research, chess is proven to increase critical and analytical thinking skills.  The Chess Club provides an opportunity for all students to participate individually or collaboratively and be part of a community of learners. If you are a beginner or an advanced player and would like a shot at the title of Chess Champion, then stop by room 219 on Tuesdays at 2:45 p.m. after call back and register for the tournament.
