Combine some favorite fairy tale characters such as Cinderlla, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel with some adult themes such as jealousy, greed, adultery, and avarice. Mix in some magic , a giant, and some lessons to be learned and you have Into the Woods. Add in some great acting and singing and you have the recipe for a wonderfully successful show. The Peekskill Drama Club performed three performances of the play this weekend. The sets and costumes looked professional. The acting both comedic and dramatic was engaging. Accompanied by a professional pit band, the students’ voices, both in ensemble and solos, were truly enchanting.
The Drama Club production was directed by Richard Gonzalez and Karla Thompson.
