The White Plains Invitational is a sophomore science research competition. The competition consists of sophomore science research students from Westchester area schools. The format is a 5 to 10 minute presentation by the student, followed by a question/answer session. The students are judged by three different judges. The scoring includes the quality of the student presentation, the board layout and their knowledge of their topic.
Peekskill students enjoyed the competition and represented Peekskill very well. The competition gave students an opportunity to present their work to a judge. In addition, students were able to see what other science research students were working on for their projects. We plan on attending the competition next year.
