On Friday, February 7, 2014 the Peekskill High School Red Devils faced off against local rival Putnam Valley High School.  This was the last game of their regular season and the final home game of legendary basketball coach, Lou Panzanaro.  Being the final home game of the season, the Red Devils honored their Senior players who will be graduating at the end of this year.  In honor of Coach Panzanaro’s 30 plus years of coaching, having over 578 wins and bringing numerous Section Titles and State Championships to Peekskill, Peekskill Mayor, Frank Catalina proclaimed that February 7, 2014 was Lou Panzanaro day in the City of Peekskill.  You can read and see more pictures from that ceremony by clicking here.

On Saturday, the defending Sectional Champions, the Peekskill Varsity Lady Red Devils, made history when for the second year in a row when they won the league beating Yorktown.  Peekskill won 55 – 29.  The Lady Red Devils record for the season is 14-4.
