Peekskill High School students, under the leadership of PHS art teacher Heather Brown, will be participating in Garrison Art Center’s Steamroller Print Making Festival on Sunday October 5, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m as part of the Art Center’s 50th Anniversary Celebration! Please plan to attend and  watch as our student’s creations are added to a collaborative art piece made by students from multiple local school districts.  The Garrison Art Center always opens its doors to Peekskill High School students and has very good working relationship with PHS.  Last year, the Garrison Art Center helped aid & sponsor the building of PHS’  NEW Welcome Mosaic that greets visitors as they enter the campus.  The Art center is located at 23 Garrison Landing in Garrison, NY.  It’s easy to get there too!  If you take the train, it will cost $6 round trip and take you just about 10 minutes.  It is located one to two stops north of Peekskill and is located directly across from the Garrison Train Station!  Please visit their website at www.garrisonartcenter.org for more information.  The Steamroller Print Making Festival is free for all ages and all skill ranges and sponsored by N. Dain’s & Sons Co. of Peekskill, Monadnock Paper Mills, and Polhemus Construction Co.  Please plan to attend!!!
