Finally a Senior! Class of 2014! My greatest years and time was spent in Peekskill High School, from the time I walked in as a Freshmen to now as a Senior. I won’t lie there were tough times, and easy times as well. There are many many things that go down in the high school and you are bound to run into trouble sometimes. With all the raging teens and cliques going on, it’s always a challenge to find what is right for you. As long as you stay on the right track and do what you have to do, you will be fine.

Remember to always stay on top of work and assignments, that is the most important thing in school. Just remember that it is YOU that is going to get you out of school, not anyone else. In my Sophomore and Junior year I learned the hard way. Friends aren’t always going to be there for you. It is YOU that has to pass that test and get out of here. Sure roaming the halls and chilling with your friends could be fun but keep in mind there’s always something important that you are missing in the classroom. Although it may seem that school is all about work it’s not. You could still have fun.  Join some clubs and make the best out of your high school years. Have fun while getting work done. From 9th grade until now, my SENIOR YEAR, I have been on the Volleyball team and have been a Cheerleader, as well as now working on Mercury! Find something that excites you and will make you succeed during your time here at Peekskill High School.

Some of the hard parts about being in the high school is there are always problems. Just try to stay out of all the drama. It’s really not worth it and is really shortsighted at the end of the day. Some advice I have for incoming freshmen is simple: stay on top of work, stay out of drama, and just make the best out of the days you have in Peekskill High School. The years go by fast and in the blink of an eye you are walking across that stage shaking the principal’s hand, accepting your diploma and entering the real world. My time in Peekskill High School has been very exciting, surprising, and challenging. I can’t wait to walk that stage: June 2014!
