No-Shave November for a Cause

No-Shave+November+for+a+Cause

Over the course of the next month, 11 teachers will participate in No-Shave November!  No-Shave November is a month that where guys unite in the height of laziness agreeing to not shave their beards for the entire month of November.  The goal of No-Shave November is to let their facial hair grow for the month and then donate the money to a cause.   “The Cause” that the PHS men are hoping to raise money for is for Families in Need in Peekskill.  The money raised would then be turned into gift cards and donated to Families in Need before the Winter Recess.  Several faculty members stated reasons why they are participating.  Mr. Mueller said, “I feel this is a great cause and would be a great gift to those families who may not be able to afford holiday dinners or gifts to celebrate the holidays.”  Mr. Goess stated “I wanted to do No shave November because I’m doing it for a good cause and I also want to help out with the community.”  Mr. Miller stated, “I am participating in No Shave November because number one I’m going to win, number two I’m doing for a good cause and last but not least I’m doing because it shows good school spirit.”

The rules of No-Shave November are:

  •  You DO NOT shave in the month of November.
  •  No trimming, no waxing.
  •  No shaving can go on as long as you want it to even after November has come and gone.
  • If you have a beard already you do not need to cut it, just keep it growing even longer!
