On Saturday, the Interact Club held its annual Safe Halloween event for the children of Peekskill. Under the guidance of Ms. Risoli, the students turned the hallway and cafeteria of PHS into a Halloween town. Students hid behind decorated classroom doors, opening them to give out candy to the costumed trick or treaters. In the cafeteria, the students entertained the children with craft projects and party games.
The Interact Club has been hosting this event for 12 years. Getting involved in this club certainly seems to be a great way of volunteering to help others and have fun. The club’s next meeting wlll be on Friday when they will be cooking up food to be distributed on Saturday.
