The Exchange Club has been researching many cultures this year including Navajo Nation, Japanese, Costa Rican, and Egyptian. To end the year we went to see “The Return of the King: King Tut NYC.”
We started the day with an enjoyable train ride. Then we walked to Times Square where we spent a good part of the day. The King Tut Exhibit is located at the Discovery Center. The exhibit was fabulous, we were so surprised how well preserved all the 3,400 year old items were. The casket of Tut as well as his coitic bottles amazed all.
After the exhibit we then went and had a grat meal at Bubba Gumps Restaurant. Here we enjoyed great food and plenty of it, and played prize winning games.
The day as a whole was very memorable. We are now planning for the club’s next event which is the Relay for Life on June 5th, 12pm to 12am, as our community service project for our club. People can sign up by going to www.americancancersociety.com, go to Relay for Life, go to Exchange Club, and register.
