After 37 years of service to the students of Peekskill High School, Mrs. Zeoli is retiring. Mrs. Zeoli worked as a special education teacher, and boy is she special! Thanks to Mrs. Zeoli’s efforts an untold number of students passed Math and NYS Regents. Mrs. Zeoli helped her students not just with work, but more importantly with life. Despite her short stature, Ms. Z always had a big presence. Students who showed little respect for the learning process always showed respect to Mrs. Zeoli. She literally carried many students out of a life of difficulties to a high school diploma. Mrs Zeoli knew how to share ( and how to make money too!). She shared her services not just with her assigned students, but with just about any student who came for help.She shared her culinary and catering talents with all staff and students, throwing lavish spreads for holidays that people will continue to talk about long after she is gone.She demonstrated an awsome sense of fashion and shared shopping tips and even her clothes !

We can continue with accolades for Mrs Zeoli’s accomplishments, but this is certainly a case where the sum of the parts does not equal the whole. Simply said, Mrs. Zeoli was the heart of Peekskill High School and she will

surely be missed.
