After a heartbreaking loss in overtime to Haldane by a score of 2-1, the Boys Varsity team is preparing to look for revenge in the sectional contests starting next week. Coach DiCuio said to this players: “I want everyone to know how proud I am of this team for their effort yesterday and throughout the season. Every player put forth maximum effort. When we win its not the result of one person, the same applies in a loss. Win as a team, lose as a team. Sometimes we set goals and we fall short. We use it as a learning experience, figure out why we didn’t achieve our goal, and make the necessary changes to be better. We will regroup this week and get back to work! Our new goal…..SECTIONALS!! We have a new season now, a new focus! Last year we got to the opening round and lost a tough game to Yonkers. This year we are going to go farther!”
