The Debate Club is in the need of new members to join their team. The Debate Club offers great opportunities to students who are interested in law or in a similar field. That doesn’t mean it’s only for the students who want to be in these fields because eventually everyone has to write essays to defend their ideas; especially on AP exams and SAT’s/ACT’s. Now don’t freak out when I say, “write essays,” because you won’t write essays in the Debate Club, only take notes. But your newly learned knowledge from this club will help you on tests.
By joining this club you will make new friends and compete with other schools. Although new members should know that the Debate Club has no budget and they will have to fund-raise in order to go to other schools.
Aside from this, isn’t this a great excuse to argue? I know many of you argue well, so why not use that talent in the Debate Club and represent our school in competitions?
If you are interested in joining or have any questions about the Debate Club, please talk to Mr. O’Donnell in room 222.
