This is the tenth anniversary of the Poetry Café
Ten years of students creatively offering what they have to say
I have been amazed at the high level of word usage
And the fine crafting of ideas
I am in awe of the striking sophistication
That shows knowledge befitting those of older years
You students inspire my own writing to be better
You show me new ways to observe what happens in the world
I thank you for the insights and the knowledge
And also for expanding my own mind with your wordsmithing skill
I’m also excited you’ve found that words are a great way to make a lasting impression
And I look forward to another year of your wonderful self expression!
