Located in upstate New York, approximately three hours away from Peekskill, is SUNY Cortland. It is a public university offering bachelors and masters degrees. The most popular bachelors degrees include education, parks and recreation, social sciences, communications, journalism and health professions. Their sports teams are ranked division III. The undergraduate student body is made up of 6,199 students, 97 percent of students are from in-state, and 3 percent from out of state. The majority of students are women at 59 percent, and 41 percent for male.
