Dear Mercury,
I have to get up in front of my class to give my report. I'm scared everyone is going to laugh at me. What should I do?

Dear Scared Sophomore,
Before you go in front of the class, take a big deep breath and remember that everyone else is just as nervous as you are. Try to volunteer to go first. That way everyone else will be so concerned about having to present next that they most likely won't even be paying attention.

MORE ADVICE:
I think you should just take a deep breath and be yourself. If they laugh just say, “I don't see you up here reading.” And think about this – half of them probably didn't even do their report. So you should feel a whole lot better knowing that you did your work and it brings you one step closer to success.
are afraid but not when you just get up there and do what you have to do. Trust me. Just don't think about it, act like you're just reading for a bunch of your friends. The more you don't think about it, the more time will fly by. Take deep breaths, don't think about it, and you should be fine. Good Luck!
